I've been trying to find a way to show my kid where silk actually comes from, and this silkworm rearing kit is perfect. It comes with a small, ventilated container and enough of that special mulberry leaf powder to raise a batch of worms from tiny eggs to the cocoon stage. The instructions explain the whole lifecycle clearly, and it’s honestly fascinating to watch their frantic weaving when it's time to spin. Just know it gets a bit dusty and the food needs to stay fresh.
